UNLOCKING THE SEVERN VISITOR EXPERIENCE

Unlocking the Severn; a partnership between Severn Rivers Trust, Canal & River Trust and the Environment Agency. This was a major Heritage Lottery Funded project to re-instate the Twaite Shad fish species on the River Severn by introducing a number of fish passes. This state-of-the-art engineering allows Shad and other species to swim easily upstream.

In order to highlight the exciting conservation project and enable the local community to have a deeper local connection we were responsible for creating a series of activities, interpretations and workshops at a number of sites along the length of the River Severn. From converting a redundant Grade II workshop at Diglis Island into an inspiring learning space, outdoor signage and seating. To the design of a modular kit of parts that had the ability to tour libraries and schools to educate and engage youth groups whilst bringing awareness to the wider communities.
